Pressure Safety Devices
Pressure safety devices include relief valves, rupture disks, and devices for lower pressure applications such as tank vents, emergency vents, and flame/detonation arresters.
Pressure relief valves are valves that are designed to open and relieve overpressure, and close once the overpressure subsides. Rupture disks work similarly, however they do not reclose. Tank vents are relief devices designed to open and close to relieve excess pressure and vacuum during normal operation. Emergency vents are similar, however they’re designed to relieve in the case of a fire. Flame and detonation arresters are devices that will stop a flame front from propagating through piping.
PRO-QUIP can help size and select the proper pressure relief equipment for your vessels and tanks.
